有三家电影公司宣布进行一次全新的合作，他们一起制作一部影片，名字就叫《26种死法》，这部影片与众不同之处就是，影片将会由26个短片所组成，每一部短片的名字就是26个字母中的开头字母，为了达到最佳的创作效果，他们将会遴选26位不同的导演来拍摄短片这些导演来自世界上的不同国家，其中日本导演还在几个短片中担纲

在影片的海报中，四处散落的字母键盘吸引了观众们的目光，那也代表，着影片将以A-Z这26个字母来呈现相关内容。这二十六部短片都与死亡有直接关系，26个导演各自运用不同的拍摄手法，结合调侃不羁的故事情节来讲述死亡的方式方法，看似荒诞不羁，实际上具有很强的现实意义。
